What on earth is Operation Skinny Cow?

Operation Skinny Cow was born after a few of us in Blogland decided it might be nice to lose some weight and/or get a bit fitter. We decided it would be even nicer if we encouraged each other along the way.

You can read about how it started in this post.

If you want to be part of the fun and add your own posts to this blog then send an e-mail to Emily Sue at reachingforgreen@gmail.com and she'll set you up as an author.

Blowout Weekend (Givinya)

I was doing so well.  Then I went to the birthday party of 2 small friends.  My indiscretions include:
  • larger-than-necessary meals
  • white bread (just my little rule, not an indiscretion if you like it, okay?)
  • party food
  • party food
  • party food
  • spinach & feta filo triangle for lunch
  • minimal exercise.

Not too bad I guess, but I feel so totally Off The Wagon.

I don't think you're Off The Wagon so much as Leaning Out The Side Of The Wagon And Accepting Sweets From Passers-By.

It's just a little blip and we all have them. I've just sent my colleague out to buy me some chocolate. :)

Aaaaand... if it makes you feel any better, this was supposed to be one of my running evenings but it's become a "put my jammies on at 6.30 and lie on the lounge eating chocolate instead of a proper dinner" evenings. I may have a few handfuls of grated mozzarella later too. And I am unrepentant.

I, on the other hand...

There's got to be a time for indiscretions. Life forever would not make up for some of those simple food pleasures that are not for everyday consumption.

I have to say that because I had a little incident with a Lamington earlier.
